Benefits Of Organic Food Far Outweight Conventional
Comparing the benefits of organic food to regular supermarket food produces a hotbed of controversy.USDA makes no claims that organically produced food is safer or more nutritious than conventionally produced food. Organic food differs from conventionally produced food in the way it is grown, handled and processed.
However, I can make such a claim. Whenever possible I grow as much of my food as I can without using chemicals. What I can't grow, I go to a local farmer who does all of his farming with no chemicals.
Is Organic Food Better?
Yes, organic food does taste better. And no, these are not scientific observations, just someone who appreciates food that does not have to be smothered with seasoning before it taste like anything. The other basic claims for the superiority of organic food are: - more nutritious: Food produced under organic conditions are somehow structurally different from chemically-raised and processed products.
- non-toxic: Organic proponents point to potential problems with toxic residues from agricultural chemicals like pesticides.
Eat Organic Food
Why should we eat organic?Organic foods are grown without the use of synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilizers. In addition, organic foods contain no artificial flavors or preservatives. Organic farmers rely on time-tested natural methods including soil building and crop rotation to reduce the negative impact on the environment. I believe that organically grown produce is healthier than any other produce.
