Eating Plan
for Good Nutrition Choices

Good nutrition choices come about as an opportunity to expand your range of choices by trying a variety of foods—especially vegetables, grains, or fruits—that you don't normally eat.

The advantage to this is that you get enough of the essential nutrients you need, and eat only enough calories to maintain a desirable weight.

A healthy diet doesn't have to mean eating foods that are bland or unappealing.

I've traveled and lived outside the United States and I loved eating different ethnic foods, especially African and Mediterranean.

You've got a surprise in store.

Food nutrition facts
The new National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute Obesity Guidelines recommend trying different ethnic cuisines to give yourself a taste treat while counting calories and fat.

Many ethnic cuisines offer lots of low fat, low calorie choices.

So if you want to eat healthy and still have lots of different choices, take a taste adventure with ethnic foods.

Here’s a sample of healthy eating (lower in calories and fat) and terms to look for when making your healthy food selection:

Chinese Food

Healthy Chinese Cooking:

  • Steamed
  • Jum (poached)

Many diseases are nature's effort to free our system from poisons and congestions resulting from wrong eating and drinking.

When you practice good nutrition you assist nature to expel impurities and re-establish right conditions in the system, thereby helping to overcome sickness and diseases.
