Spa Party Bridal Shower Becoming Increasingly Popular

A Spa Party Bridal Shower has become a popular bachelorette party idea.

Retreat to a spa party bridal shower:

The bride-to-be and her friends get together at a spa to enjoy relaxing massages, facials, manicures, pedicures and other treatments. A steam room, sauna and/or hot tub adds an extra element of relaxation.

Some spas provide great meals from a selection of healthy dishes.

This type of spa party bridal shower lets the bride relax and connect with her friends while leaving behind the stress of planning a wedding.

Many brides get so caught up in the details of wedding planning that they forget to enjoy the wedding. A spa retreat bachelorette party is a great solution.

Group activities:

Look for a spa that will let you all start off with a yoga class to get your mind and body focused for some serious pampering.

Or, choose one that has a steam room or Jacuzzi to gather in-between treatments. At midday (or at the end of your treatments if you're going for a less expensive option), gather for a light lunch, cake, and present opening.

Spa Party Invitations

Find an invitation with a spa theme. Help your guests know what to expect by clearly stating what will be included, and whether or not they should bring presents for the bride.

For example: "It's a day to get pampered and be spoiled all the way with an afternoon at the spa before Pilar's big day!

Please bring $25 for your manicure and pedicure treatment and a spa or beauty theme present. . We'll indulge in a little pampering before raising a glass to Pilar! RSVP to Shaina or D'Shun to let us know you can make it."

Presents for the bride:

Get everyone to pitch in for a spa gift certificate for the bride, or have everyone bring a pampering cream, hair product, or beauty accessory such as a robe or hair dryer.

Mobil Spa Party

If health and beauty is an issue, feel free to utilize the spa finder at PartyPop.com They're your online resource for local and national listings of in home beauty and salon party companies for your spa party bridal shower.

Most home spa parties cost between $100 - $150 per person and include two or three treatments, and sometimes a gift. Ask whether gratuities are included. Some spa party companies also arrange catering and elaborate goodie bags.

Beauty Products for
Home Spa Party

The maid-of-honor or organizer finds a spa nearby and usually books a private room, or sometimes the whole spa! If the maid-of-honor is feeling generous, she may pay for small spa treatments for everyone.

More common, however is for each guest to pay for her own treatments, and pitch in for the bride's treatments.

If you are on a budget, there's no reason not to create a Home Spa Party. You and the other bridesmaids should bring whatever fun creams, nailpolishes, and beauty products you have at your home.

Have a big stack of clean fluffy towels available, and a large plastic basin for every guest to soak their feet in.

Make sure you have nail polish remover for old polish, good eats, and some pretty music on the stereo. Get everyone to chip in for a spa gift certificate as a present for the bride.

Entertainment Activities

My Favorite Memory:

This one is good for the spa party bridal shower where the bride has provided the entire guest list. Along with your invitation, include a printed card that says "please write your favorite memory of the bride or groom".

While the bride is opening presents, each guest stands and reads the card she brought. Typically some are funny, some are sentimental and all are enjoyable to hear. Purchase a photo album to collect the memories and photos of the party.

Door Prize:

Sure your guests may not want to play involved games, but who doesn't love a present? As your guests enter, have them write down their birthdays and wedding anniversaries (if applicable).

The guest whose date is closest to the wedding date wins a prize. The hostess can then copy down the birthdays and anniversaries in a nice birthday book for the bride, so she'll always know when to send a thoughtful card.

Beauty Spa Treatments

Goody bags:

Send guests home from the spa party bridal shower with a bag to remember the day and thank them for coming. Purchase do-it-at-home masks, or make up a quantity of homemade masks, then package them in pretty airtight jars. (Don't forget to include instructions and an expiration date.

Add some manicure accessories, such as inexpensive nail files or toe separators. Many department store cosmetic departments offer free samples, see if you can obtain enough to throw into the goody bags for an extra treat.

Hope you have a fun and pampered spa party bridal shower day!
